Our History
2006: The Foundation of Faith
In 2006, Bethel orphanage began as a dream born from nothing more than a vision held by Dr. Simon Tendeli Chacha, with limited resources and no building. With more vision than resources, and more faith than funding , he stepped into a world of extreme hardship to care for orphaned children. In those early years, support was almost non-existent less than 20% of what was needed. Yet, Mr. Chacha refused to let the children suffer. He moved “slowly but surely,” building hostels , classes and basic shelters with his own hands, ensuring that even without a grand campus, the children had food, clothing, and the dignity of a school uniform.

2012: Official Recognition
After six years of laboring in the shadows, Bethel finally received Official Government Registration. This milestone was the spark that ignited a larger flame. With legal recognition came more children in need, and Dr. Chacha’s dream began to expand. He realized that to truly break the cycle of poverty, Bethel would have to become more than a shelter- it would be a “Cradle-to-Career” sanctuary.
